The texture set

The textures of your track are stored in your track folder with 8 bmp's (with the letters a-h). When you doubleclick them, they will most likely open with 'MSPaint'. But this ain't a serious tool for editing. I'll highly recommend to edit your textures with either Adobe Photoshop or Corel Photopaint.

I will not try to explain the general work with Photoshop, this alone fills books with over 1000 pages. But what might help you if you have Photoshop, is to download the track skin templates that are available at the Re-Volt Track Club. They show in several layers where you can find the textures for the different track pieces.

More info on how to create custom textures can be found in the "Effects" section. If you need some ass kicking texture templates to play around with, make sure to stop by at The texture studio! When you finished your texture set (hehe, shouldn't take more than 2 weeks), it's about time to use it with your track. There are 2 ways to get there:

1. The easy way

You finish the track, export it and replace the existing textures in your track folder with the new ones you just made.

2. The recommended way

You go into the folder 'Re-Volt/editor' and make backups of the bmp's 'tpage_01-08'. Insert your new textures and rename them 'tpage_01-08' (a=tpage_01, b=tpage_02 etc...). You now can use this texture set in the editor (for better preview) and your track will automatically be compiled with the new textures. When you want to get back to the standard textures (I can't imagine whatfor), delete yours and rename your backup copies.
