The .fob file Every track, if custom or original, has a .fob file and it's another great way to enhance the atmosphere of your track. You can't open or alter the .fob file (at least I can't...) for it is written in a programming language. If you want to make use of it, the only way is to copy an existing .fob file from an original track. Erase the one in your track's folder and paste the one from the original track. It must have the name of your track and the '.fob' extension. In custom tracks the .fob file only includes the information where you placed the powerups. But the original track files contain a lot more information: things like sprinklers, planes, lanterns and - the skymap! The only reason why you should overwrite your .fob file is to get a bright blue sky. You can use the skymap of an existing track or, even better, create your own custom skymap! For further info on how to create a skymap, please check out "Custom skymaps". The drawback of exchanging the file is that you'll lose all your powerups. I like powerups but I also do think that some of the custom tracks could do without them. Some of the original .fob files still place several powerups inside the grid, in order to find out where you should put up a track that looks like this: You can drive around in it after you have exchanged the .fob file and note in which part of the grid the powerups appear. You might also note where the environment things like planets, sprinklers and toys appear. Be creative! Some cool ones are: Toyworld (1
